Step Attenuators give connected homes the isolation needed by giving additional return path loss without affecting the forward path. Noise and ingress entering the network is minimized. With the added attenuation a modem will transmit their signal at a higher level. Step Attenuators are providing noise reduction as well as security from poor tap isolation which improves performance.
